Nerac Analysts:
Conduct primary and secondary research utilizing various resources including, but not limited to, financial analysis, scientific and technical publications, journal articles, patents, in-house databases and conference papers/presentations

Meet and consult with clients to understand and provide solutions for business and growth strategies

Lead the development of written research reports and data-driven solutions/systems while collaborating intensely with globally dispersed teams

Forecast industry trends, author industry reports and provide thought-content to marketing efforts

Add value through business development and renewal efforts via client group meetings and sales initiatives

Project Analyst Responsibilites/Experience:
Teams usually comprised of analysts with diverse backgrounds in scientific and technical disciplines, as well as marketing, business development and financial analysis.

• Direct involvement with clients to develop an understanding of critical problems facing research and business executives and the dispensation of actionable advice by applying proprietary methodologies to primary and secondary data results
• Public speaking at industry events, formal presentations to clients and publication of written technical and marketing literature.
• Thought-leadership via analysis of emerging issues and opportunities associated with product development and launch, partner evaluation and acquisition targets.

Projects Include:
R&D Solutions, Competitive Review/Analysis, Market Assessment/Landscape, Commercialization Strategies, and Specialty Services.

Required Qualities/Characteristics:
The Business Solutions Project Analyst position requires a minimum of an MBA and a BS in Mechanical Engineering, Biomedical Engineering, Metallurgy, and/or Surface Chemistry. A demonstrated track record of presenting complex ideas/solutions, distilled into straightforward, provocative concepts is a must.

Minimum of 10+ years industry/consulting experience required, (15 + preferred): boutique or BCG, McKinsey & Co., Booz Allen Hamilton, A.T. Kearney, Bain & Co., Monitor, and/or Tekrati.

Sole authorship in reviewed, written publications is preferred. Ability to integrate technical features and concepts into a business and marketing context must be demonstrated.

• Practical participation (5+ years) in Nano-composites, Organometallics and Printed electronics.
• Experience in assessing market potential and identifying key strategies associated with development, including but not limited to market dominance, innovation, growth, etc.
• Prior experience in M&A analysis, budget, cost and credit analysis, business plans and SWOT Analysis and use of strategic models
• Demonstrative industry thought-leadership through analysis of emerging trends via white papers, journal articles, blogs, and/or marketing vehicles
• Proficient public speaking skills both internally and externally, including but not limited to industry events, media, and formal client presentation
• Knowledge of current government regulations and/or policies
• Strong financial and analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative
• Deep intellectual curiosity about industry trends and emerging technologies
• Creativity/originality in finding the right solutions for clients
• Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, collegial, and collaborative approach to work
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
• Demonstrated ability to cultivate a network of valuable contacts
• Ability to work with globally located team members
• Superior communication (speak, write, listen, presentation) skills
• Excellent Microsoft Office skills (Excel, PowerPoint, Access)
• Ability to travel 10-20% of the time
• Fluency in second language and international exposure a plus!
• Good sense of humor also a plus!
