Nerac Analysts:
Conduct primary and secondary research utilizing various resources including, but not limited to, financial analysis, scientific and technical publications, journal articles, patents, in-house databases and conference papers/presentations
Meet and consult with clients to understand and provide solutions for business and growth strategies
Lead the development of written research reports and data-driven solutions/systems while collaborating intensely with globally dispersed teams
Forecast industry trends, author industry reports and provide thought-leading insight to marketing efforts
Add value through business development and renewal efforts via client group meetings and sales initiatives
Projects Analyst Responsibilities/Experience:
Participation in teams comprised of Analysts with diverse backgrounds in scientific and technical disciplines, as well as marketing, business development and financial expertise.
• Direct involvement with clients to develop an understanding of critical problems facing research and business executives and demonstrate problem-solving skills by proposing actionable solutions.
• Public speaking at industry events, formal presentations to clients and publication of written technical and marketing literature.
• Thought-leadership via analysis of emerging issues & opportunities and integration into a client’s product development & launch processes, competitive strategy and marketing direction.
Projects Include:
R&D Solutions, Competitive Review/Analysis, Technology Assessment/Landscape, Commercialization Strategies, and Specialty Services.
Required Qualities/Characteristics:
The Technology Project Analyst position requires a Bachelors of Science, Masters and/or MBA in Mechanical Engineering or Chemical Engineering. Industry experience for 10+ years is required (15+ years preferred). A demonstrated track record of presenting complex ideas/solutions, distilled into straightforward, provocative concepts is a must.
Special experience such as Technical Service responsibilities, consulting, international subject matter expertise or post-graduate academic teaching is highly desirable.
Sole authorship in reviewed, written publications is preferred. Ability to integrate technical features and concepts into a business and marketing context must be demonstrated.
• Experience in Energy industry, especially petrochemical, but also alternative energy fields; Secondary experience in Advance Materials or Electronics industries is desirable; exposure to multiple industries is a plus
• Knowledge of current government regulations and/or policies
• Demonstrative industry thought-leadership through analysis of emerging trends via white papers, journal articles, blogs, and/or marketing vehicles
• Proficient public speaking skills both internally and externally, including but not limited to industry events, media, and formal client presentation
• Strong analytical skills, both qualitative and quantitative
• Deep intellectual curiosity about industry trends and emerging technologies
• Creativity/originality in finding the right solutions for clients
• Entrepreneurial, enthusiastic, collegial, and collaborative approach to work
• Exceptional organizational skills, attention to detail and ability to multitask
