Erica Kramer, Ph.D.

Dr. Erica Kramer works primarily with the Medical Device team at Nerac conducting research of clinical literature, preparing clinical literature evaluations, and conducting focused research to address clients’ questions relating to the medical device industry.

Erica holds a Bachelor’s degree in Biomedical Engineering and a Ph.D. in Materials Science & Engineering from the University of Connecticut. During her graduate studies, Erica performed research on synthesis, processing, and characterization of ceramic nano- and micro-powders with magnetic properties for biomedical applications. She also conducted research on polymer/ceramic composites and ceramic coatings for orthopedic applications. Following the completion of her graduate studies, Erica joined the team of an early-stage medical device startup company focused on the development of biomaterials for bone and cartilage repair and regeneration.

At Nerac, Erica works with medical device clients to conduct research of the clinical literature, prepare Clinical Evaluation Reports, and conduct focused research to address clients’ critical questions relating to the medical device industry across many device and therapeutic areas.
