As Practice Lead, Innovation Insights & Consulting Practice Group, Tim will be helping clients harness Nerac’s deep innovation enabling resources for greater innovation gains. Tim brings over 35 years of experience in delivering innovative solutions to clients worldwide.
Maurer joins Nerac as a globally recognized innovation leader, having led product development and innovations across multiple industries. His strategic planning services were tapped by the White House and National Economic Council for advice on growth. Tim was also contracted by the U. S. Chamber of Commerce to write a series of blogs on “Innovation and Data For Good” and was profiled as a “Leader Innovator” in the business book, “Innovation Engine, Driving Execution For Breakthrough Results.” Tim was deemed a “2015 Smart Grid Pioneer” for IoT and Analytics, one of 50 designees globally. He has advanced IoT and Analytics for the smart grid, smart buildings, smart farming and intelligent community microgrids. He has also advanced innovations across data, payments, banking, mobile, financial services and affinity groups. As VP Product at the world’s largest data and payments company, he doubled a data interoperability and analytics unit’s EBIT-per-FTE to $260,000 in under 3 years, and he introduced the concept of allocated remittances to Western Union and USAID to support the developing world. Most recently, Tim served as CEO of an NGO in Haiti – a model structure for UN SDG fulfillment comprised of a microfinance group, a university, a peasant’s cooperative and farm extension operation, and a religious order — and he has been providing innovative solutions for the UN SDGs across multiple nations in the developing world.
